fish fry with our neighbors, so I took the ole wonderod and tried my luck at an old vintage pond in Wareham, MA. This is very close to Flax pond that Sam
Tisdale used to stock his LMB in 1850. The place has got some monster fish...my personal best 7 crappie 15&quot;, @ 2 + pounds each.

Went out for an hour just before sunset tonight. Overcast and raw here in N.E. fortunately there wasn&#39;t much wind except a the occasional gust. Fished the
goldie for a while in a protected inlet off a point and picked up a yellow Perch, a couple of white Perch and several Calicos ranging from a small six incher

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>The 2008 skunk was eliminated on my first try of the year.  Bought my license at 8:30 this morning and by 10:30 I&#39;d hoisted the first fish of the year
over my canoe&#39;s gunwale!  Fooled a good &#39;gill on one of DP Popper&#39;s foam spiders (a GREAT bluegill gitter).

			<description><![CDATA[ Went to a new found lake in SE Mass on Sunday, (Snipatuit pond). Real windy day, forgot the camera, just wanted to get the rust off my flycasting arm from the
long winter. Jeffsod has given me tips on several honey holes lakes in this general area, I am like a kid in a candy store. Snipatuit is a shallow lake, but a
lot of underwater structure. I kept hanging up on weeds with sinking flies, so I changed to a nonbeaded black wolly bugger. Bingo!!! 1/2 hour later and about

			<title><![CDATA[ The Great Lakes of NYC  featuring Van cortland & Oakland ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ This past weekend I fished several of NYC great lakes.  I fished the lake in the bronx, Van Cortland Lake, in Van Cortland park.  It has a surface area of 14
acres.   The next day I fished the  lake known as  Oakland  lake, in Alley pond park; located in Queens.  It has a surface area of 11 acres.  All  of our lakes
 are shore fishing only.

There two other lakes in Queens, Kissena and  the largest  a 100 acre lake called Fresh Meadows Lake at the site of the 1964 Worlds Fair.<img... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Went down to my sis-in-law&#39;s earlier this evening for a Super Bowl get-together.  I didn&#39;t care too much about the game - I was more interested in
fishing an hour or so before dark to see of I could get fishing in the new year off to a good start.  For February 3rd it wasn&#39;t bad at all - stuck 3 nice
bluegill and had a couple more hits in a black RLD.

			<description><![CDATA[ I got an early start this morning.  I was fishing by 10:30am, temp was about 59F.  Took the switch rod &amp; a spool of intermediate line.  It was slow until
the afternoon when a regular in the park began to scream as if he were being mugged.  He had hooked a 4 LB bass on a lure!  later i got a NICE crappie on a #14
PT(picture to follow) &amp; a few BG.  nothing like warm water fishing when it is warm.

Help, I am an ADDICT. When ever I see pictures of monster bluegills, crappies in the 1-3 pound range I start to salivate, start tying flies like crazy and
obsessively fish the local ponds and lakes in quest of the monster pan fish to get my fix. Even though these pictures of fish are caught on traditional fishing
gear, I can&#39;t imagine what it must be like to catch fish like these on a 2-4 wt fly rod...Is there a cure for this obsession or am I ruined for life?
