LATE last year, a flotilla of fluorescent jellyfish covering 10 square miles of ocean was borne by the tide into a small bay on the Irish Sea. These mauve
stingers, venomous glow-in-the-dark plankton native to the Mediterranean, slipped through the mesh of aquaculture nets, stinging the 120,000 fish in Northern

Got talking with a few angler brothers at church last Sunday and the subject of carp came up. Man, I know I say this every year, but I really want to target
those things this year. Gotta hit the Concord River near where folks feed the ducks and see what I can toss around that will imitate a hunk of bread.

The wife has been there to see the ducks scatter like mad once the carp realize there's food in the water. Says there are some monster fish in that river.

It all started about five years ago. We discovered that during the 2002 flood, stripers had washed in from the lake into our trout tailwater. A local
guide with his drift boat was tied off in the shade below a bridge, at the top of a hole.

His fare was trying to land a nice 18" rainbow. As he got it to the boat, a 40" striper appeared and devoured it.

Where's your dream fly fishing trip? You have the resources to go anywhere and take one partner with you.
