For Sale Very Nice Condition Heddon Pal #8457 Mark IV 8'6" 8wt Controlled Flex Action fly rod. This rod has that cool Walnut section on the lower 1&1/2" of the grip with the "Heddon" name inlay in white and black. Also, sports the nice Allan Patented reel seat. Ferrule is Aluminum and does need a new 'O' ring. It has 11 total guides (typical smaller Heddon of the period) including the tip and stripper. The blank is Heddon Yellow Glass with Olive and Brown...

6'4" Glass Spinning Rod

I found an old intact glass spinning rod of unknown make in my basement this evening. It's 6'4" and appears to be of 1960s vintage. Nice and limber. Metal ferrules that still pop nicely; cork grip that used sliding rings, but they are missing as it looks like there was at one time a butt cap that kept them on. Perhaps the butt cap might have give a clue as to the maker.

Glass is an attractive dark brown, reminiscent of my old Wright & McGill but a little darker,...

tip section for fenwick fiberglass rod

Somewhere in this world a birdog, or a lab, maybe a golden retriever has chewed the grip off an old fenwick fiberglass fly rod. Well, I need the tip section. It needs to be the light brown color as it'l fit a ff-605. Any tip from a 4 weight to a 7 weight will do as i can cut it to fit, or even a tip section off a spin rod. As you all know by now, I'm going nuts turning wood. I have some run-of-the-mill stuff, just bought some beautiful stuff on ebay. If anyone wants to sell any figured wood (burl, bird's eye, spalulted, etc), at least an inch thick, lemmeknow; or I'll turn you a reel seat barrel for a piece of wood.

I'm headed to Anderson McQuade(SP?) in Cambridge in a couple of weeks...kid in a candy store situation!
