I was in the Bears Den Fly shop shortly after the show and the owner had one of these lines out. The coating feels just like a shark's skin and he said the line makes a distinct sound as it shoots thru the guides. I figure if it makes a noise it has to have some effect on distance. Supposedly though it will never kink up on itself. He thought one of the marketing plus' was that it didn't need cleaning but a rough surface would be more prone to pickup dirt.

to get $100 for a fly line, you NEED to write great copy.

OK guys, we NEED to come out with something new that people never knew they needed.

If I took out a home equity loan from Country-wide to finance such a high dollar line, I am almost certain that i would get it tangled in the troll motor sometime before lunch on the first day.
