Bill...that rod/reel is even more beautiful now that you got it outside. Just a question since I've seen a fair amount of
your photos here and on the Fiberglass Flyrodders website...but do you ever take the plastic off the grips of your rods? Just wondering...

I can't wait to see this rod lined up along side of a fish now.

i was able to set up my Beulah "Switch rod" and shot some line. In fact there was so much shooting that the police came by. Really, this rod shot my
skagit line all over the lake. Now to get on a river for some fishing. I was surprised at how easy it was to cast this rod. It is extremely light in the
hand(not unlike a 5 wt trout rod) and with minimal effort shot line. I practiced for less than an hour. It was HOT today as the temperature reached the upper
sixties and I was sweaty at...

I may use the ATP 37 or the franco vivrelli goldstar. The ATP has a large arbor spool. The deal i got for the rod included the beulah elixir "switch
line (380 grams)", so i plan to use that and the rio skagit line(400 grams).

Congrats on the new rod Bill! That is what you've been needing for chasing those BIG carp in the parks, eh? I can't
wait to hear how it fishes.

I checked out Beulah's website and their prices are pretty reasonable for a good looking rod. I like how they mix up the materials in the grips. Very
sharp!

I've got to ask Bill...but what reel are you going to pair with this rod? And line?
