Spinzo I actually thought it looked a little out of proportion but sometimes that is just the way the photo is shot so I didn't question it.

What species are the last 2 Panfish? Never seen 'em before.

The top one is a Mayan Cichlid and I think the bottom one is a Blue Tiliapia. Both of them hit like freight trains. The Mayan had some kind of turbo kit installed. After the hard hit it would just scream across the pond like nothing you have ever hooked in freshwater before The Blue tilapia hit a Pig Boat which...

Maybe 1.25 hours. The good thing is there's a pull-off right on Rt. 2, so once you hit the Athol-Orange line, you are pretty much there. Since you live in Cambridge, just get on 2, head west, and then it's just a matter of time.

BTW, it's not that apparent in the picture, but that pickerel's head is way out of proportion to its body. If memory serves, the fish was about 24 inches, but that head was really odd, it was as if someone sewed on the head of a 30 inch...

Yep. Both hit poppers fished up tight to the lily pads. The Grove Pond fish (float tube) was one of those deals where the fish moved as soon as the fly hit the water. Knew it was coming from the swirl and wake before it sucked the thing down with a decent splash. The Rohunta fish (canoe) took me by surprise as the fishing had been slow all day. I pulled out a couple nice pickerel and some 'gills, but nothing else. Then the damsel flies started coming off the water and the action...

Here are the date, time and directions to the Bear's Den 10th Anniversary Fly Fishing Expo in Taunton, MA. Hope to see some members... come by and say hello and view the "The Bass Pond" table. We plan on making our table really attractive this year to stimulate other fly fishermen & women to inquire about our website and see some photos of the Bass Pond fishing members from all over the country. Scott from the Bears Den has done a nice job on setting the Expo up...
