			<description><![CDATA[ Actually this pike was caught in the Netherlands (Holland) by a chap called Ewout Blom and weighed in at 39lbs or 17.7kg at a length of 1.27cm and not in
Canada as first thought.

			<description><![CDATA[ Def. a pike.  Muskie have vertical patterning while the pike are horizontal.  I believe the coloration of pike are also inverse of muskie; pike have dark
chains and light spots, while the variations of a muskie&#39;s patterns are dark spots with light borders.  Those are the most obvious identifiers for us
non-biologists.
