Here's a good subject for winter trapped fishermen..
These days I am pretty much attached to my Leatherman. I am in building maintenance, and for small stuff, that tool has saved me a trip to the van many a time. As for knives, I have a few, but will always be most attached to the Case Sod Buster Jr. When I was a boy my uncle bought me one for my first knife - man was I thrilled! I do prefer the older sort of pocket knives as opposed to the newer designs. God Bless, Alec

Had an old LL Bean Swiss Army Knife in the Fisherman model with the leather holder back in the early 70's. Loved the knife so much, I gave it to my son so
I'd be sure it would stay in the family. Neither he or I will ever take it out of our houses. One of my most treasured possessions. Won a gift certificate
for Buck Knives and got a few which I have in my tackle bags. I really don't carry, just accumulate. Also received an Abel Plier & knife set, as a

I've been known to carry a variaty of pocket/pocket clip folding knives in a range of sizes. My problem is that i loose them regularly:-( Leathermans work but I often leave them behind due to weight/comfort. I do ALWAYS carry a small and basic swiss army knife on my key chain. It's a whimpy blade but sharp enough for surgery and handy enough for most jobs. The sissors and tweezers get as much use as the blade most days.

Both men have passed on, so these knives have a lot of sentimental value, but they're also both excellent knives with good carbon steel blades, and they hold an edge very well.
As far as handiness for cutting and tools etc I love my Leatherman Micro. It has saved me too many times to count. Has built in scissors, knife, phillips tool, bottle opener, metal emery board (don't laugh works excellent), twizers and small flat head for eyeglasses. Probably something else I am forgetting too. I was lost when the stopped allowing things like this on planes and didn't want to pack it for fear it would get swiped.
