I haven't posted on The Bass Pond for some time and thought that it would be a good time to catch up.
Here are a couple of carp shots of my personal best fly rod carp. (The one in the middle is just a head shot of the same fish showing perspective with my 7 weight mid-arbor reel.) One was caught in late May, the other in early June of this year. Both were caught on a seven weight rod with an 8 and 10 pound tippet, respectively.



If you look closely at the first pic and the last you may notice some similarities in the fish. Both weighed 28 pounds. Both had that unique split in the tail. In fact, both are the same fish, caught about two weeks apart. At the encouragement of some other carpers I "named" the fish "Lightning" because he or she did indeed strike twice in the same place.
