Spent the day last Friday with Western MA Guide Marla Blair. It was a great outing and we learned a lot from Marla. We focused mostly on nymphing as there
isn't or wasn't much in the way of hatches on the river. Marla has a book called Positive Fly Fishing from which you can learn most of what we did in
person. Personally I would rather get it hands on but went back to read the book over the weekend to reinforce the techniques. I highly recommend Marla if you
want to learn to trout fish in the Swift or Farmington rivers!
