Here is a photo of my mentor, late Gene Landurand of Fall River, MA. He taught me how to tie deer body bass bugs. He would yell at me if the bugs were pack too
loosy. He said you can tell a trout fisherman at his atempt to tie bass bugs, the hair is not pack tight. I was twelve years old tieing bass bugs. This Gene
with a 7 pound Largemouth caught on his deer hair frog, the date July5, 1961. His rod Orvis Shooting Star, Pflueger Medalist Reel, Cortland 333 GAF fly line.
Check out Plymouth Valiant. Those were the days.
