Bill, congratulations! Very cool catch and nice action photo of the fish  . Goes to show you ya never know whats you will catch. They are supposed to be good eating but I am guessing you probably don't normally keep your
catches in that area.

Wow! now that's a first.... how deep were you fishing? I thought walleye were right on the bottom in deep lakes

Looks like you caught him, then dropped him!
Is that one of your "Great Lakes" locations, or did you travel further north for that one? Mike (learning to never be surprised by what Bill catches...) |

I forgot to mention, I was fishing the Ramapo River in NY. It is a smallie fishery at this time of the year. We were looking for carp and were surprised by
a Walleye.
