The collection of eleven flies will be mail out to the Swap meet tiers this week, thanks for your contribution and patience...Job well done.
Well here are the flies:
# 1. This awesome fly is called "Halloween" tied by Fishing4GoldenTrout... this is a
absolute dynamite looking #10-12 size panfish fly to add your fly box, with all the tremendous hackle action... Bright colors will stimulate strikes... I am
sure the tyer can tell what kind of fish he has taken with it. Sorry if some pictures are slightly fuzzy, tried to enlarge and capture the detail and
workmanship.
# 2. This next fly is called the "Razorback Muddler" tied by Rackensack. Wow! for those
Muddler fans, this is a must have fly, I am sure it will catch bass, perch, panfish trout, etc... It is a small Muddler in a size #6-8. with a lot of detail
work. I am sure fishing with Razorback Muddler, the fish will be bite so good, that you will have to go
behind a tree to bait your hook....
#3. This is an old favorite fly called the "Goldie" tied by Gillbuster. This Ultimate fly will
catch every fish in the lake, I caught my largest personal best LMB & SMB on this fly. It is a great trout trolling fly also. Tied Size #6, Very durable
and the Goldie promote fantastic action, You can't go wrong with this fly in your fly box
#4. This neat crawfish looking fly is called "Riznikoff" tied by Pearow. This is a must have
for your fly box... It is unique in design and I am sure when the fly line is stripped, it darts among the shoreline rocks stimulating violent strikes from
rock bass and smallies... I love small flies and they catch huge fish, it looks like it is tied in a #4-6 hook with a small bead, it should sink slowly to
catch the eye of all fish in local water. As my Grandpa used to say, "This fly is slicker than a peeled minner!"
#5. This Fantastic foam fly is called "STP Frog" tied by Oarkgold. If you have never tossed a
foam frog around some lilly pads, watch out! you'll get you arm broke. Largemouth can't resist a small frogs... it is like a T-Bone steak to them...
this is a great crafted fly that every fly box should have. It is amazing what you can create with foam, and this is a classic. With this fly you'll catch
a fish so big when you pull him out, you'll leave a hole in the water....
#6. The classic fly is called a "Reverse Lord Baltimore" tied by Flytackle. This is a piece of
fly tying history... and a beauty at that! This is tied in a 1/0 hook, I think and definitley a must have for your fly box... I am going to frame mine and put
it on the wall! This fly will catch bass and Flytackle can give you the history of it's origin. He calls these classic type of flies the crank bait of bass
flies around the turn of the century... If you catch one bass on this fly.... the rest will surrender!
#7. This awesome floating fly is tied by Fishing4GoldenTrout and is called the "Real Hopper
Rubber Legs"... What panfish does'nt go crazy over grasshoppers and FFGT has done a great job
replicating this insect. Bluegills are going to tear this fly up when it drops in the water. I am a big hopper fan and this fly will victim to some 10"
bull bluegills this spring. All panfishemen, stock up on these flies and you will never go home on time, you are sure to be late for supper and some explaning
to do... A lot of detail work went into this fly.
#8. This fly is a called the "Cajun Crawdad" tied by Gillbuster. Smallmouth love crayfish and
this is the ticket for their quest. Dumbells weights get it down in the water column; Trout, SMB, LMB and pikerel go nuts over this fly. River smallies in
Maine thrive on crayfish. Crayfish are a nice fly to have in your flybox when nothing else is biting and you will be surprized by the results. Tied in a #4
hook with squirrel foxtail hair, it swims convincingly. Try this Cajun treat and spice up you flybox....
#9. This sweet little #12 floating fly will catch every fish in the lake and it's called "Letort's Cricket"
tied by Fishing4GoldenTrout. Crickets are what I cut my teeth in learning how to fly fish. This fly gave me all the
confidence in the world with a fly rod. Top water action fly fishng junkies need not look any farther, this is the fly to have in your box. Bluegill, perch,
Crappie and bass will slap this fly right out of the water. Nice fly, great results, fish will definitely get in trouble if they don't keep their mouth
shut on this fly...
#10. This is a unique chenille fly that is for those Bass Worm Fly fishermen, created by Jack Gartside called "Jack's Wonder Worm" tied by Gillbuster. It is 5" long and weighted at one end and waxed with Fly
floatant on the tail so it will rise high off the bottom. It is made of a neat thick chenille material. Similiar to the Bunny fly, bump this fly off the bottom
and watch your fly line peel off with a nice LMB. Bass love Worms and this fly technique is the trick, Saltwater fishermen can also use this material as sand
worms on fishing the Surf. Who would of thunk it?
Hope all these flies work well for your Bass Pond fly fishing collection, feel free to ask questions on tying material, how to fish the fly, what weight line, hook size, etc... Again remember we will start the auction on 14 March 2008. Thanks again for looking
Tight lines and screamin reels
