Went to a new found lake in SE Mass on Sunday, (Snipatuit pond). Real windy day, forgot the camera, just wanted to get the rust off my flycasting arm from the
long winter. Jeffsod has given me tips on several honey holes lakes in this general area, I am like a kid in a candy store. Snipatuit is a shallow lake, but a
lot of underwater structure. I kept hanging up on weeds with sinking flies, so I changed to a nonbeaded black wolly bugger. Bingo!!! 1/2 hour later and about
thirty nice 10" crappie, ...the fish were in the weeds and the bugger was floating right above the weed line and Bam! They were in a tight school and
great fun. Caught a couple nice cold gills and a 3lbs pickerel also. Great to be out on the water, next time camera will be in hand. I had to leave early and
paddle back to the launch, my luck! trolling moter found wad of braid fishing line and choked my trolling motor and shut it down, didn't have any tools
with me, will have from now on... Can't beat a black wolly bugger and those Crappie... hopefully gonna get with Jeffsod soon and post some of our wild
warm water fishing adventures
