I'm always tying new flies and bugs. I've been fishing a pond with deep water, lily pads along the shoreline. I have no trouble bring bass to the
surface to hit Jitterbugs. I have one month to get a big one on the bug. So here it is a new, old bug. Tied on 2/0 hook.
I will have tying instructions on all flies and bugs during winter months. Right now I'm juggling with bygs, weather, tackle and timing

Interesting looking bug AJ.
I like the bulk of the body. Should really push some water. Are you intending to fish it day or night? (Still not sure how you get away with no weedguard though ) |

I'm fishing in a pond with hardly any lily pads. I'm fishing at night. Sometimes I over shoot that is why I'm using 16 - 20 pound straight Ande
leader materials about four foot. Have you been back to X pond in Assonet. I keep thinking of this pond it must be a trickle and I wonder about all the big
bass that died. A real shame about this pond.
My favorite pond was Big Bear Hole in East Taunton, I haven't fished there since they made it a state park. That's where I took my 9 lb 7 oz. bass in 1960. I looked at A-1 or Mill Pond in Westboro. I may be doing a job there so I'll make sure I have the canoe with me - looks good. |

Haven't been to X in a couple of months . ( Mainly becasue i'm goin to BUM big time when I look at what's left of it.) However, a friend who has
relitives that run a buisness on the shoreline told me that the pond "is down 3'-4'". Water between where the boats were beached and the
island is now less than knee deep. I also know that the access near the road has been WELL blocked off. There are other ways in but tehy require considerably
more effort or 4 wheel drive and a beater truck. :-( . I'll let you know when I do get buy. Your right, It is a crying shame!
BTW: If your fishing after dark, have you tried other colors? Noticed your bug has a white belly which should be good ona full moon/bright sky. Have you tried all black or Black/red? Either should be THE color for darker/cloudy nights.
