I ran across this picture while poking through one of the many piles of junk in my den. It's one of my fellow club members with an average (for that water) Pike, and was taken about four years ago at Camp Louis Jolliet on Lake Mistassini in northern Quebec. This was one of the best fishing trips I have ever experienced. We fished for three days on a HUGE lake, where we were the only ones out there. This camp is a fly-in, located out in the tundra. I'm not sure of which parallel but it's up there.
The fishing was outstanding, with big Pike, Walleyes (good eating!), Brook and lake Trout. We fished this one cove where we caught fish after fish for about an hour. Those big Pike are a blast on an 8wt!
